International delegates attending the 2018 Crowe International EMEA Conference in Dublin
Crowe Dublin was the proud host of the 2018 Crowe International EMEA Conference held at the InterContinental Hotel in Dublin last week.
Over three days, 16-18 May, we welcomed 140 of our international colleagues for a mix of specialist presentations, Network strategy and engaging keynote speakers on trends affecting our industry.
The conference provided an opportunity for us to host a special trade meeting between IDA Ireland and managing partners from eight European member firms. Shane Nolan from IDA shared key insights and detail on the country’s inbound investment initiatives to attract international organisations – an area the firm is actively involved in.
As host firm we were given the responsibility of opening the conference with a cultural performance. Huge thanks to Celtic Extreme for putting on a superb show. It was a great way to open the conference and showcase some of our traditional music and dancing in a contemporary way. Delegates were given a specially commissioned custom Bodhrán that proved very popular! Watch the video of the opening ceremony here.
The network’s new CEO David Mellor shared factors shaping our network and delegates also heard an inspiring presentation from Gavin Krenski, Global Content and Innovation Director at Guinness, who shared his company’s brand journey which included unique storytelling and innovative partnerships to evolve their brand over time.
Bob Lee, author and expert on building high-trust high performance workplace cultures, gave a superb presentation on how building a workplace culture centred on trust can help attract and retain talent.
The firm’s managing partner, Naoise Cosgrove, talked about key trends in the Irish business sector and presented the main specialisms of the Irish practice with detail about our service and sector offerings, including not-for-profit, owner-managed business, property, international tax and hotel, tourism & leisure.
Gala dinner – Trinity College Dublin
Guests enjoyed a very special evening at Trinity College Dublin. International delegates joined partners and staff from the Dublin office for a champagne reception in Trinity’s Long Library. The College provided a special tour of the Book of Kells exhibition and guests were then entertained by a unique performance by The Trinitones (Trinity’s male a cappella group), before making their way to the Dining Hall for the gala dinner to finish off an extremely successful conference.
