As part of our firm’s commitment to training and development, Kevin Windsor, a colleague in our corporate finance department, recently returned from a Crowe Global Valuation Advisors Training event held in Porto, Portugal. This three-day event was attended by colleagues from 14 offices across the Crowe network.
The training was headed up by Gary McLoughlin (Crowe New Zealand) and Olivier Grivillers (Crowe France), both members of Crowe’s global valuation advisors team, a special interest group providing valuation services to a range of situations but specifically to companies engaged in cross-border transactions.
Over the course of the three days, attendees developed their valuation skills and methodologies, discussed valuation techniques and resources, and engaged in discussions around developing specialist valuation practices across the Crowe network.
As well as providing valuable instruction and opportunities for shared knowledge, the course allowed everyone to network and strike up new relationships and build relationships with colleagues from around the globe.
The event was expertly hosted by Paulo Lourosa, Managing Partner, Crowe Portugal. Paulo and his team ensured that everyone did not go home without experiencing all of what the wonderful city of Porto has to offer, taking us on tours of the historical city and famous Port wine houses! But that is all Kevin would say – apparently what goes on in Porto very much stays in Porto!
