Crowe is continuing to support the work of the CervicalCheck Scoping Inquiry led by Dr Gabriel Scally, whose report was published on 12th September 2018. The Crowe consulting team has been actively assisting Dr Scally with the review of how the implementation of the 50 recommendations in the September 2018 report has been proceeding, and playing a key role in the development of this progress report.

Shane McQuillan, Consulting Partner at Crowe, stated: “This progress report is an important milestone in the resolution of the reported problems within the CervicalCheck programme, and shows good progress to date by the HSE and other State bodies.”

Minister for Health Simon Harris said: “I very much welcome Dr Scally’s report on the Implementation Plan for his recommendations and his independent view that this Plan is a comprehensive response to the Scoping Inquiry report, backed by the necessary effort and resources to address the issues he identified. This Government fully accepted Dr Scally’s recommendations, and work is well underway in my Department, as well as in the HSE and the National Cancer Registry, to ensure full implementation so that women can have absolute confidence in our cervical screening service. Screening saves lives and it is essential women continue to use the programme.”

Crowe’s consulting department advises clients across diverse sectors, from local businesses and multinational organisations to public bodies and not-for-profit entities.
